About WhenReset

An independent record of public OpenAI Codex reset announcements.

WhenReset is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI. Public announcements can help explain changes in usage limits, but they do not establish when your own account resets.

Sources and automatic updates

Our starting archive is attributed to Codex Resets. We check the Codex Reset API every five minutes for additional reports and updated source records. Each record links to the original announcement where available. A successful sync means we retrieved the source feed; it does not mean we independently confirmed a reset on user accounts.

Reports, announcements, observations and editorial confirmations are labelled separately. Some sources specify only a date; we do not invent an exact time for them. Calendar dates use UTC. An empty date does not prove that no reset occurred. Upstream delays or outages may leave the last available records on screen; the sync status shows when we last checked successfully.

Editorial review and corrections

Manually reviewed records show a verification date where available. Published editorial corrections are retained in the record’s correction history. Withdrawn editorial records stop appearing publicly. For an automatically synchronized report, consult its linked original source and the credited source archive for corrections. We retain earlier records when a partial feed omits them.

Your personal timers

Personal countdowns are set from the quota information you provide and stay in your browser. We cannot read your OpenAI account, refresh its live usage, or apply a reset. Downloaded calendar reminders use your saved reset time.
